The Space Screamer is my own distortion and fuzz guitar pedal that I built as a final for my Circuit Bending class. This pedal has 8 settings accessed through a rotary switch connected to different inputs on a Hex Schmitt Trigger and a 4040 clock divider. The 4040 and 4049 provided the fuzz and distortion, but what really gave it the “screamer” name was the use of voltage starving of both the Hex Schmitt and the 4040, each with their own respective knobs.
